Ship-Shape® Professional Comb & Brush Cleaner is formulated to remove lotions, oils, gels, sprays, hair color, and styling residue from combs, brushes, rollers, and other tools—without damaging bristles or dulling finishes. Safe for hands and skin, this fast-acting, formula rinses clean and restores tools to like-new condition while also promoting overall cleanliness throughout the salon. Ideal for pre-cleaning implements before disinfection (in compliance with state laws and EPA guidelines), it’s also effective on sink basins, vinyl upholstery, neck rests, chairs, tables, and high-touch surfaces like doorknobs, telephones, walls, and floors.

Ideal for cleaning a wide range of professional styling tools and surfaces, including:
Combs and brushes – plastic, metal, rubber, and natural bristle
Salon surfaces – chairs, stools, head, neck and foot rests
Tackles high traffic areas – cleans stainless steel, sinks, basins, walls and floors

  1. Mix 3 Tablespoons Ship-Shape® Comb & Brush Cleaner Powder with 1 gallon of warm water.
  2. Remove all visible debris from tools and implements.
  3. Place tools into diluted Ship-Shape® Comb & Brush Cleaner.
  4. Soak as long as needed – no contact time required.
  5. Remove cleaned tools and rinse (optional)

Disinfect with BARBICIDE® Concentrate or Spray.
*Always allow hot tools to cool completely before cleaning.

Is Ship-Shape® Powder the same product as Ship-Shape® Spray?

No. Ship-Shape® Powder is intended to clean combs and brushes prior to disinfecting them in the BARBICIDE® solution. It does not dissolve hair, but allows all of the brush surfaces to be cleaned effectively. Ship-Shape® Spray is intended for general cleaning and removal of hair spray and hair product residue from appliances, chairs, etc.
